Travel Hyw 20 west of Williams Lake BC until you reach Chilanko Forks BC. turn Left 4.5 Klm off hwy 20 onto the Bidwell Forest service road. Proceed to 19 klm and turn left onto the Old Trail. This trail will cross logging and Public roads on the way to Chilko lake. (many Escape Exits)
This trail is very well marked and has many side trails to explore. This is a gazetted Trail And is still shown on Topo maps. Enjoy the wild horeses, we have seen them many times. |

Old Abandon Wagon Trail Between Redstone and Chilko Lake, this Trail suited to Horeses , mountian bike, and ATV, was reopened and maintained by BC Path Beaters, a retired Couple on their ATV's. The trail connects to Old Hay Meadow Trails That interconect Fort St. James to Gun Creek Pass south of Taseko Lakes. |
